Chris has been with Undercurrents for two years – he works full-time during the summer and part-time in the winter. He has nearly completed his Bachelor of Eco-Tourism and Outdoor Leadership degree at Mount Royal College, here in Calgary. The program has really expanded his love of paddling and his skills.Chris is a Paddle Canada instructor in flatwater kayaking and canoeing, moving water canoeing and canoe tripping. He has paddled all over western Canada on rivers such as the Nahanni River, Kootany River, Milk River, Bow River, and the Kananaskis River. He has traveled to England, parts of the USA, Belize, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Spain, Holland and, of course Canada.
Chris spent many years in the Scout movement, where he was awarded the Chief Scout award by the mayor.
When his education is complete, he plans to travel for a couple years and scout locations for his planned eco-lodge business. It will be somewhere near the water of course: whether it is a river or the ocean is all the same to Chris.
