We're back !


I haven't made any entries is this blog for a while - I've been on vacation! My beloved and I, along wih Rascal the wonder-pup, were travelling around southeastern Alberta and southwestern BC. We camped here and there, paddled a little and relaxed alot.

Next week we are off to "Outdoor Retailer," the annual tradeshow for, well, outdoor retailers in North America. For my first few years attending it was a mind-numbingly huge disneyland of outdoors stuff. After a while I got used to it and it is just more work, but in a different locale.

The fun part is seeing all the new products coming out for the next season! As the KANAWA gear reviewer, I get most of my column ideas at the show. For the store, we essentially "pre-shop" everthing out there so that Undercurrents can carry the best products and best values when you come around to do your shopping.

I'll try to post a few highlights of OR after the show!
