This is a list of the major locations we use for our lessons, listed in alphabetical order. Click the map for each to be connected to a Google map of the spot. (Note: Google maps don’t play well with Apple’s map app – you need to download the free Google Map app for this to work on your iphone.)
To find out which location is being used for your lesson, check that lesson’s webpage and the date for which you are registered. And if you have any questions, just call the store – we are here to help!
Bow River, NW Calgary
The Bow River in NW Calgary is used for our introductory River lessons. It is only 10 minutes from the store. View map.
Chestermere Lake, CYC property
Lake Chestermere is used for many of our introductory and intermediate lessons. It is easily accessed from Stoney Trail. View map.
Ghost Lake
Ghost Lake is an excellent location for our intermediate courses. It is located 10 minutes west of Cochrane on Hwy #1A. View map.
Glenmore Reservoir
Glenmore Reservoir is the location for many of our introductory kayak and canoe lessons. It is located in the centre of Calgary. View map.
Harmony Lake
Harmony Lake is used for many of our introductory and intermediate lessons. It is easily accessed from Hwy #1, just west of Calgary. The Harmony map does not show the lake, but believe us – there is a beautiful lake there! (Google’s data is old) View map.
