River SUP Next Step

River SUP paddler on the waves.

Description:

Paddle Canada SUP School graphic.Immerse yourself in River Paddleboarding! We will spend the first evening on flatwater refining your skills in preparation for a day of paddling incrementally more challenging whitewater. Learn the necessary paddling skills, and gain the knowledge to “read” moving water and use the features of the river environment to get you safely and efficiently to where you want to be!

River SUP Next Step differs from SUP the River by  being more thorough. It also includes a review of flatwater skills and allows more time for on-river practice and tuning.

Expected Outcome:

You will leave this course with the confidence to paddle Class 1 moving water in a variety of real-life conditions. You will receive a Paddle Canada River 1 SUP Skills certificate.

Notes:

We provide river-appropriate boards, paddles and required safety gear. You are welcome to learn with your own gear if you have it. Everyone needs to provide their own immersion wear.

Combine this course with River SUP Play on the following day for a weekend packed full of river fun and education!
