Kayak Self Rescue Pool Clinic

Take a kayak rescue course with Undercurrents.

Description:

What would you do if you flipped your kayak and had to get out? This pool-based clinic will introduce you to a variety of self-rescues and assisted rescues. This is a “hands on” program, so come prepared to participate fully.

Expected Outcome:

Upon completion of this clinic you will know, and be able to perform a variety of self-rescues. The self-rescue skills taught will give you more confidence than even!

Instructor Student Ratio:

1:6 (MAX) to ensure you of the best instructional experience possible!

Notes:

Kayak, paddle and sprayskirt are provided by MRU, but if you want to bring your own boat let us know. For space reasons, maximum boat length is 13 feet.

Come prepared to have fun and get wet!

Prerequisite:

16+ years old (or 12-15 years old with a guardian in the pool).

Completion of the Kayak Discovery Clinic, or previous experience with a kayak and the ability to perform a wet exit.
